Project Overview

This toy redefines the traditional hard image of magnetic toys by incorporating soft fabrics and cotton materials, adding warmth through colors and textures. It aims to nurture children's creativity and sensory development. Designed at the request of a magnet manufacturer, this product unfortunately was not commercialized.

Concept

The toy features a soft, egg-shaped plush with eyes, allowing children to create their own pet monsters by attaching various magnetic parts—such as noses, ears, tails, and hands—at designated spots. For safety, the magnets are securely embedded within each part to prevent direct contact. The parts come in a variety of colors, shapes, and textures for imaginative play.

Design & Development

  •  Selection and combination of soft materials

  •  Designing with magnet safety considerations

  • Proposing a variety of shapes, colors, and textures for parts

  • Creating a user experience that encourages children to enjoy and express creativity
